SwampShell Prime Session Update - July 21, 2026
The Photoshop bridge finally does what its buttons promise, the desktop app boots clean again, and Home now opens with a briefing you can actually answer.
Today was about closing the small gaps that make software feel unfinished. The Photoshop-to-Lisa bridge had two buttons that looked live but did nothing: the Fix action on the layer-naming suggestion, and the thumbs up/down feedback. Both are wired end to end now. Fix renames Photoshop's generic layers - Layer 1, Group 2, and the rest - into a clean, consistent convention, and the feedback buttons acknowledge your vote and teach Lisa what actually matters to you.
The desktop app had also drifted into a stale state overnight - a leftover instance plus an orphaned dev server holding its port. Both cleared, relaunched clean, hot reload healthy again.
The headline addition is the Morning Briefing on the Home panel. Instead of a blank prompt, you get a short set of multiple-choice questions - today's launch-critical outcome, what needs validating, energy for the day - and your answers flow straight into Maestro so the assistant steers around them. Answers persist locally and to a small file the session tooling can read back the next morning.
What We Started
- Fixed the Photoshop Fix and feedback buttons; added a layer-rename handler to the plugin bridge.
- Restored the desktop app from a stale state and relaunched with clean hot reload.
- Added an interactive Morning Briefing to the Home panel, wired into Maestro.
- Rebuilt the daily blog generator: sleeker green headings, no redundant title, compact metadata footer.
Closing
Small surfaces, real difference. Every dead button removed and every daily ritual that answers itself is one less reason the app feels like a prototype. Tomorrow: let the Morning Briefing answers start writing the day's plan.
